Company A Record of Events

August 15th a detachment of 32 men left Lexington and on the 16th participated in the battle of Lone Jack; lost one killed and ten wounded. Captain Long was mortally wounded and died on the 19th inst.

Company C Record of Events

All the officers and twenty six privates left with various forces under Major Foster Lexington, Mo. for Lone Jack on Aug 15th 1862 – On the 16th were engaged in the battle of Lone Jack, Mo – The casualties in Co “C” were these vis: 1 Lieut Levi S Copeland-made prisoner by the enemy, Sergt G.W. Alexander & Luke Williams-dangerously wounded, Corp. Andrew B. Mickelborough badly wounded, Andrew J. Farmer killed, Private Hiram Phillips killed, and 7 privates wounded.

Company F Record of Events

Lieut. I.S. Carver with a detachment of 19 men with Maj. Foster command of eight hundred men marched to Lone Jack, there fell in with about four thousand rebels.  Lost of Lieut. Garver’s detachment two men killed and eight wounded. Returned on 16th of Aug.
