Civil War soldiers who fought for their country and gave their lives in Lone Jack need your help. Over 150 years ago Union soldiers and Confederate recruits battled one another in eastern Jackson County. Many were laid to rest in Lone Jack\u2019s hallowed battlefield ground. On April 25 as volunteers honor these brave men by defeating winter\u2019s debris and dirt to clean and restore the battlefield and cemetery, museum and Cave Hotel, they honor all American veterans who came before and after them by sprucing up this veterans\u2019 memorial.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, at the Lone Jack Civil War Battlefield Museum, \u00bd mile south of Hwy. 50. Clean up begins at 9:00 a.m. Lunch will be provided. Clean up should be finished by around 2:00 p.m.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
